Time: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm (EDT / -04:00 GMT)
Join us to learn for an information-packed webcast about the Gaelic holiday Latha Lùnasdail, the quarterly holiday marking the harvest time, and how it was celebrated in Gaelic Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man.
We’ll have presentations focused on the harvest traditions of each of those three Gaelic nations. Some of those traditions will be similar, but there are likely to be unique differences, too, as we’ve discovered in our webcasts on Gaelic quarterly festivals.
Latha Lùnasdail, or the day of Lùnasdal, falls roughly on Aug. 1. In Ireland, the holiday is known as Lúnasa, and on the Isle of Man as Luanistyn.
This will be our fourth webcast on those quarterly festivals, following programs on Oidhche Shamhna (Oct. 31), Latha Fhèill Bhrìde (Feb. 1), and Bealtainn (May 1).
We’ll hear from experts representing Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man. Don’t miss this unique, valuable and free event!
